BOSTON, MA: FALL 2007 VON: October 29, 2007 —
Allworx today announced a set of new
alliances that help to further expand the flexibility and capacity of the Allworx
IP-PBX systems, while also providing Allworx’ channel partners with new alternatives
for addressing the communications needs of small and medium sized businesses.
Allworx
works with many of the industry’s leading Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs)
to enable its customers to make VoIP phone calls through SIP-trunks. Today, Allworx
announced that it has completed extensive interoperability testing with new ITSPs
including: Broadvox, Excel, nexVortex, PAETEC and VocalNet to ensure that end users receive the best voice quality, features and service when using these providers
with any Allworx system. These new ITSP relationships complement Allworx’ existing
alliances with Cbeyond, Bandwidth.com, and NetLogic - to provide Allworx’ resellers
with significantly more options for deploying VoIP-based communications solutions to SMB customers.
Allworx also announced new alliances with FXO gateway providers,
which help SMBs that require additional CO lines (e.g. traditional analog phone
lines) to increase the capacity of their Allworx systems. Thoroughly tested and
certified interoperability with third-party gateways from VegaStream and Quintum
Technologies, Inc. now enable Allworx customers to add additional CO lines to their
Allworx systems in the most straightforward and affordable fashion.
These gateways
provide Allworx resellers greater flexibility to address the current needs of SMB
customers, while providing ample room and scalability to address the future communications
needs of growing businesses.
- Smaller SMBs that plan to grow their phone system
can use these gateways to expand the Allworx 6x beyond the standard 6 CO lines in
increments of 4, 8 or more ports.
- Larger SMBs with more sophisticated voice and
data needs can use these gateways to increase the scalability of the Allworx 24x
beyond the standard 3 CO lines in increments of 4, 8 or more ports.
Both the ITSPs
and FXO gateways are backed by integrated technical support teams between the respective
companies and appropriate technical documentation. This gives the reseller the assurance
that Allworx will be there to help support their integration needs with these new
and existing alliances.
“The alliances we’ve announced today give our channel partners
more options for meeting the telecommunications needs of their SMB customers, whether
it be more VoIP lines, CO lines, or both,” said Tom Grinde, EVP Sales of Allworx.
“Alliances and certifications like the ones we’ve announced today play an important
role in our plans to do everything possible to set Allworx apart in the SMB-VoIP
marketplace.”
